About the ALC
The Surge Alumni Learning Community (ALC) is a dedicated national virtual learning space designed exclusively for Surge Alumni. We aim to offer continuous support by fostering ongoing education, facilitating healing-centered engagement, and promoting the development of executive skills.
Established with the purpose of nurturing the personal and professional growth of our esteemed alumni community, the ALC also strives to create meaningful networking opportunities. Throughout the year, ALC sessions will delve into various themes and topics, empowering alumni to choose sessions that align with their interests and goals. Some sessions will be recommended to be taken together, as their objectives synergize and build upon one another.
Since launching in 2024 and introducing Alumni Advisors in 2025, we look to continue creating empowering spaces for alumni to not only build skills, but also build community. In 2026, we're reshaping the experience to give alumni more voice and platform, introducing a new panel segment designed to spark inquiry and deepen discussion. We have leveraged our Surge Alumni Curriculum Arc and alumni feedback from our Annual Alumni Survey to identify a Scope and Sequence tailored to and responsive to current alumni interests and needs.
We will offer four sessions during the 2026-27 fiscal/school year, between November 2026 and June 2027.
October 1, 2026
December 10, 2026
February 11, 2027
May 13, 2027
All sessions are virtual and run from 5-6:30 PM CT.
ALC Alumni Facilitators & Advisors
All ALC sessions are curated and facilitated by alumni! Facilitators and advisors play a critical role in shaping the tone, engagement, and impact of the ALC. Participating as an alumni facilitator or advisor is a unique opportunity to contribute to a growing leadership community, influence the development of fellow alumni, and help strengthen the ALC.
Alumni Facilitators lead the design and delivery of ALC sessions. In support of Facilitators' session objectives, Alumni Advisors provide attendees with an in-session opportunity to begin applying the content in a small-group setting.
