Each year, we release our Annual Alumni Survey to help refine and reshape the alumni experience so that it remains deeply rooted and centers your voices, your realities, and your dreams. It is one of the most important tools we have to stay close to what you’re experiencing and ensure that Surge continues to walk beside you in meaningful ways. All feedback from the Annual Alumni Survey directly shapes our programming and investments. 

Each year’s survey is unique and helps us understand how you’re doing professionally and how Surge is doing as a network. A particular focus of this 2026 survey is to measure the interconnectedness and strength of our movement. 

This year, you will:

• Share your current professional activities

• Evaluate your experience with Surge through today

• Help us explore the impact of our network’s interconnectedness

• Update your alumni interests and directory profile

Participation from as many alumni as possible is important to us. We are offering incentives and rewards to show our gratitude and get our community hype about sharing your voice!

• Update (June 25, 2026, 1:30pm CT) - The race for the first cohort to reach 100% survey completion is still wide open! Several cohorts have already crossed the halfway mark and are leading the pack: CHI24, DET25, DET26, INDY22, OAK22, PHILA23, PHILA25, and PHILA26. Will one of these cohorts be the first to the finish line, or will another cohort surge ahead and claim the prize? If you haven’t completed your survey yet, now is the time. Every response is important to us and counts toward your cohort’s progress. We can’t wait to see who reaches 100% first!

• Update (June 22, 2026, 3pm CT) - We’re excited to hear that some Surge sibs are standing by for their survey links and eager to submit their responses—thank you for your enthusiasm! Our email platform is currently throttling delivery, which means survey invitations are being sent in waves rather than all at once. Either way, incentives for the first 20 completed surveys and the first cohort to 100 percent completion will be determined based on when each recipient's survey invitation was sent, not simply the order in which responses are received. If you haven’t received your survey link yet, don’t worry—it’s on the way. We appreciate your patience and look forward to hearing from you soon!
